Laïssa Mouen founded Kinaya Ventures in 2017. Kinaya Ventures is an innovation and investment platform that partners with corporates and investors to build, empower, scale and fund innovative businesses and digital business models in Francophone Africa. Prior to that, she was the Managing Director of Cofina-Dojo, a venture which accompanies startups and supports innovative practices. Cofina Dojo was created through a strategic alliance between Groupe Cofina and Dojo Group. She also held roles running the Innovation, Marketing and Brand Communication Department at Groupe Cofina, as well as setting up and launching Cofina Startup House, an incubation program which supported innovative startups in Dakar and Abidjan. Before her time in the ecosystems of innovation and startups, Laïssa Mouen worked during 16 years in corporate, investment and SME banking for international and Pan-African banks, in France, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon. She is graduated from NEOMA Business School and has studied at Université Paris I-Sorbonne. She is also part of the 2020/2021 cophort of Stanford Seed, a year-long leadership and entrepreneurship program for founders/CEOs initiated by the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
